Qurany ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile app for reading the Quran (including Mushaf-style reading, surah navigation, tafsir, bookmarks, audio playback, and related settings). This policy describes what data may be processed and how.
Much of your activity stays on your device, for example:
If you use features that rely on your location (for example prayer-related timing that uses device location), the app may access location only when you allow it in system permissions. You can revoke location access in your device settings.
If you enable notifications, the operating system may provide us with a device token so alerts can be delivered. Audio playback may use standard media APIs; background playback behavior depends on your device settings and app configuration.
We may collect limited technical information to keep the app reliable and to understand usage in aggregate, such as app version, device type, crash diagnostics, and product analytics. Our marketing website may use analytics provided by the host (for example Vercel Analytics) to measure visits.
If we offer sign-in or subscriptions in the future, we would process account identifiers and purchase status as needed to provide those features. This policy will be updated if that changes.
We rely on common infrastructure and libraries (for example app distribution through Apple/Google and hosting or tooling providers) to operate the product. Content such as Quranic text, translations, or tafsir may be loaded from configured sources or bundled assets as implemented in the app.
On-device data is removed if you uninstall the app or clear app data, subject to how your device handles backups. If we process personal data on our systems, we retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above unless a longer period is required by law.
